Line dancing is now every night of the week! If there’s a brewery or bar or wood floor somewhere, before long, there will be dancers! Line dancing continues to grow and explode! Here are a few opportunities TONIGHT in Orange County. Hangar 24 generally has line dancing on the 1st and 3rd of the month, but tonight there’s rain! So, no line dancing at Hangar 24 tonight.
But in Huntington Beach, there’s Bruno’s tonight. And if you are more inland, Goodtime Gordie will be the DJ as usual at the Buena Park Elks club!

Huntington Beach, CA – Bolsa Chica’s Sea Salt Burger and Grill concession stand was recently taken over by new ownership and has undergone a big transformation! Country line dancers in the area have been enjoying some line dancing there for a while now in the hotter months, thanks to Cindi Massengale coming out to be both DJ and instructor on Sunday afternoons–this isn’t anything new! But the venue has now undergone a complete transformation, and has been reimagined as a vibrant, country-western-inspired hotspot featuring live entertainment, outstanding barbecue, good drinks, and the familiar cement dance floor many local dancers are already familiar with.
Opening day was May 3rd, and the response was immediate! Large crowds of party goers jamming into the newly painted and reimagined corral. But it was nothing compared to last weekend for Memorial Day–big crowds, and long waits to get in! Check out their Facebook page and website for more info. Saturday will feature country tribute bands. Sunday will feature Redneck Rodeo each week, as they will be in residency all summer! Make plans to come out and be sure to come by 1 pm to get in on the line dance lessons and open dancing offered both days!
Today’s live music will feature a former contestant from The Voice, Kyle Schuesler, a folk artist whose soulful performances and heartfelt songwriting have captivated audiences nationwide.

The line dance “A Bar Song” has really caught on lately and has become a fast favorite on dance floors. If you haven’t learned it yet, it’s not too late–expect this one to be around for a while! This dance also highlights a great success story of a relatively newcomer to line dance choreography: Ben Murphy! When he created the dance for Shaboozey’s “A Bar Song,” it was only his 4th dance! Little did he realize what a hit it would be!
With “A Bar Song,” he took the trophy in two categories: Best Beginner Line dance, and Line Dance of the Year at both the UK Linedance Awards as well as the Crystal Boot Awards! It also won in the Beginner category at the Line Star Stage Awards in 2024! Wow! That is some amazing early success! It is an easy yet very fun dance, and a fun twist is that the dance is being danced in contra style now, just adding to the fun.
